Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler, whose unmistakable voice powered one of the biggest ballads of the 1980s, has died aged 75.
As fans look back on her extraordinary career, RTÉ Entertainment is revisiting one of her memorable Irish television appearances: a 2016 performance of Total Eclipse of the Heart on The Late Late Show.
Tyler appeared on the programme as part of a Valentine’s-themed edition in February 2016, delivering the Jim Steinman-penned anthem that became her signature song.
Released in 1983, Total Eclipse of the Heart topped the UK charts and helped turn Tyler into an international star.
