A woman and a teenage girl who are charged in connection with the fatal assault of Scarlett Faulkner have been further remanded in custody at Nenagh District Court.
The 17-year-old accused is charged with assault causing serious harm to Ms Faulkner, 29, at the R494 Birdhill, Co Tipperary, on 21 March last.
The mother of one died in hospital three weeks after the alleged attack.
The accused girl appeared before Judge Marie Keane via video-link for today’s proceedings.
The court was told that the Director of Public Prosecutions has given verbal directions and written directions are awaited in the case.
The matter was put back until next Wednesday, 15 July, when new charges will be preferred against the defendant.
Judge Keane ordered that the teenager be produced in court on Wednesday for the purposes of those charges.
A co-accused 40-year-old woman also appeared before the court via video-link from a remand prison.
The woman is charged with violent disorder, endangerment and burglary.
She was also told by Judge Keane that the DPP has given verbal directions and written directions are awaited.
The defendant will also appear before the court in person next Wednesday when new charges will be preferred.
Members of the Faulkner family were present outside Nenagh District Court and were informed by gardaĆ about the outcome of the brief hearing.
