A cyclist in his 40s has died after a hit-and-run incident in Co Kildare.
Gardaí believe that the incident, on the R445, Dublin Road, took place between 10.30pm last night and 12.30pm this afternoon.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has since been removed to Naas General Hospital, where a post mortem examination will take place in due course.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have been travelling on the R445 between Kildare Town and the roundabout at Junction 12 of the M7 between those times to come forward.
Those who were travelling in the area during this time and who may have camera footage, including dash cam or mobile phone recordings are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
