Fans have made their feelings clear over Dublin’s Love Island star Charleen Murphy

Supporters have rallied behind former Love Island contestant Charleen Murphy, whom they’ve dubbed their ‘Queen’.
The Dublin influencer burst onto ITV’s popular dating show as a Casa Amor bombshell. Shortly after making her entrance, hosts of The Debrief podcast hailed her as ‘the most anticipated bombshell ever’.
Yet the 27-year-old’s time on the programme lasted just nine days in total, even though 21 year old Kavan Murphy opted to recouple with her and return with her to the main villa.
Almost as soon as presenter Maya Jama welcomed them back, Kavan announced his desire to reunite with his former partner Jasmine Muller. He subsequently ended things with Charleen, leaving her without a partner at the recoupling ceremony and resulting in her elimination from the show, reports OK!
Charleen has now posted an emotional statement on social media reflecting on her Love Island journey, which she characterised as a “whirlwind”. In her Instagram message, she wrote: “It might only have been nine days, but entering the Love Island villa was an experience I’ll never forget.”

“I leave with unforgettable memories, friendships I’ll always cherish, and so much gratitude for having had the opportunity.”
Opting for complete transparency about her experience, she went on: “Although it wasn’t the ending I imagined, one thing this experience has reminded me is that staying true to yourself is always enough. I would’ve loved a little more time in the villa, simply because I know there’s so much more to me.
“But every emotion, every word, every feeling you saw came from a genuine place. I always believe that having a soft heart is a strength, not a weakness and that’s something I’ll carry with me long after this experience.”
Reflecting further, Charleen appeared to suggest she had no regrets, adding: “You can’t control every outcome, but you can control the way you treat people. I truly believe that if you stay authentic, lead with kindness, and keep your heart open, that’s something you can be proud of.
“Thank you so much to everyone who supported me and has taken time to send me the kindest messages. Reading your love has meant more than you’ll ever know. Its reminded me that we’re really all just girls figuring out life, love and the rest all together. This chapter may have been short, but I can’t wait to see what’s next.”

Supporters were swift to rally behind Charleen following her statement, with one fan commenting: “We were all watching just because of you! You did yourself proud gorgeous and we have no doubt everything is going to work out ten million times better than you could ever imagine.”
Another fan wrote: “The entire nation is so proud of you girl! our Irish Queen.”
One supporter commented: “An absolute angel. You stayed 100% true to yourself for the whole process and we are all super proud of you. Well done for putting yourself out there, I’m sure your future husband was at home watching thinking you deserve so much better.”
A further admirer declared: “Absolute Queeeen, you stayed true to yourself and took no prisoners!” Meanwhile, one viewer made a bold prediction about Charleen’s television future, responding: “A Queen So proud! Love Island All Stars do your thinggg!”
