The Dáil will rise this evening for its summer recess until the middle of September.
The Government faces several key decisions in the interim, including around fuel prices and the Aughinish Alumina plant in Co Limerick.
The break comes after an, at times, tumultuous first half of the year for TDs, with April’s fuel protests and blockades bringing several parts of the country to a halt.
The Coalition and Opposition will continue to monitor fuel prices, with excise cuts due to be unwound from September.

The Department of Enterprise is also due to present a report on the Aughinish Alumina plant in Co Limerick and what materials may or may not be ending up in Russia’s military supply chain.
Preparations for October’s Budget are also likely to crystallise over the coming weeks, with several ministers grappling with the demands of Ireland hosting the EU Presidency.
The Coalition is finalising its Summer Economic Statement for publication next week.
The Dáil will return on Wednesday, 17 September.
