BBC Sport NI will have live coverage of the GAA All-Ireland Senior Hurling and Football Championship finals across two consecutive weekends.

With coverage set to be presented by Sarah Mulkerrins and Holly Hamilton, the deciders are two of the biggest occasions on the sporting calendar on the island of Ireland.

First up is the hurling final. Holly Hamilton will be making her All-Ireland final debut presenting coverage of the tie between Galway and Limerick this weekend (July 19). GAA fans across the UK will be able to watch the game live on network BBC Two television and BBC iPlayer from 3pm. Galway secured their place in the final with a commanding performance against Cork in their semi-final, while Limerick overcame Clare to book their place in the Liam MacCarthy decider.

Joining Holly in the studio will be Limerick All-Ireland winner Séamus Flanagan and Galway’s David Burke, ensuring both counties contesting the Liam MacCarthy Final are represented. They will be joined by Kilkenny All-Ireland winner Paul Murphy and Antrim hurling legend Neil McManus for expert analysis throughout the afternoon. Mark Sidebottom will be pitch side with Tipperary’s All-Ireland winning Captain, Jason Forde, while Thomas Niblock is joined on commentary by Clare legend Jamesie O’Connor. Presenter Connor Phillips will also be getting the thoughts of a host of special guests in a sold-out Croke Park, soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying the game.

Holly, who has presented coverage of the Commonwealth Games, World Athletics Championships, FA Cup and NBA London, is looking forward to making her All-Ireland debut.

Holly says: “It’s such a privilege to be hosting the All-Ireland Hurling Final and I can’t wait to bring such a special occasion to the BBC audience. It’s one of those truly iconic sporting events that has everything… incredible skill, fierce rivalry, heart and an atmosphere you simply have to experience. Whether you’ve been following hurling for years or you’ll be watching for the very first time, this is the sport at its very best, and if you’ve never seen a game before, there’s no better place to start.”

The following weekend, (July 26) codes switch for the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship as Kerry and Mayo go in search of the Sam Maguire. Sarah Mulkerrins will present live coverage of the final which will be available to GAA fans on BBC Two Northern Ireland and right across the UK on BBC iPlayer. The live coverage starts at 3pm and joining Sarah Mulkerrins in the studio will be a stellar line-up of All-Ireland winners and star names. Armagh legend Oisín McConville and Dublin great Philly McMahon will bring a wealth of big-match experience, while the two finalists will be represented in the studio by Kerry’s Killian Young and Mayo’s Pádraig O’Hora, who will offer unique insight from both camps ahead of the biggest game of the Gaelic football season.

Sarah says: “All-Ireland final day is one of the most special sporting days in the calendar. The colour and vibrancy of Croke Park comes alive in person and then fizzes through the screens for our viewers watching on at home. I can’t wait to bring the joy and pride of the occasion to our audience, along with top level analysis from our team of expert pundits. They’ve lived the game and bring passion, enthusiasm and insight to our programmes. I’m ready to soak it all up and bring our viewers along for what is always one of the most exciting days in sport.”
