A man aged in his late teens has died from injuries sustained in an assault in Co Meath last month.
The assault happened at a business premises on Watergate Street in Navan in the early hours of 21 June.
The man suffered serious injuries during the assault and was brought to a hospital in Drogheda and then on to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin for treatment.
GardaĆ have said that he died yesterday.
As part of the investigation into the assault, a man in his late 30s was arrested last month.
He was charged and appeared before Navan District Court on 26 June in connection with the assault. He is due to appear before Trim District Court on 28 July.
GardaĆ said a post-mortem examination was carried out on the man who died. The results are not being released for operational reasons.
The investigation is continuing.
