I think I’ve just found the perfect white skirt for summer. I didn’t think it was possible, but here it is. Not only does it look far more expensive than its £65 price tag suggests, but it also cleverly combines three of summer’s biggest trends: a hanky hem, delicate cutwork and a flattering midaxi length.

To break it down, let’s start with the silhouette. Falling to a midaxi length, it’s what I like to call the Goldilocks of hemlines – especially as a petite woman. It’s not so long that it drowns your frame (or, in my case, my personal vendetta: drags on the floor), yet offers a little more coverage than a midi.
