Gardaí have arrested a second man in connection with the investigation into the fatal assault of Anthony Long in west Dublin earlier this month.

Mr Long, 41, was attacked near his home on Parlickstown Drive in Mulhuddart on 3 July. He was taken to hospital where he died two days later.

A man in his 20s was arrested yesterday and is currently detained for questioning at a Garda Station in West Dublin.

On Wednesday, 43-year-old Darren McNamee, of Talbot Hall, Riverbank, Swords, Co Dublin, was charged with the murder of Mr Long and remanded in custody to appear in court again next week.
