These are the golden days for Limerick hurling.

Around 16,000 supporters have gathered in Pery Square in Limerick city to salute a team that yesterday secured it’s sixth All-Ireland victory since 2018.

Before Sunday’s final, manager John Kiely urged supporters to make their voices heard in Croke Park.

They answered that call, roaring their team to victory. This evening, it’s their turn to celebrate alongside the players who are bringing the Liam McCarthy Cup back to Shannonside.

Earlier today, the All-Ireland champions shared their success with some very special supporters, bringing the silverware to Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin.

Spain may have its football champions, but Limerick has hurling legends including Cian Lynch, Gearóid Hegarty, Diarmaid Byrnes and Cathal O’Neill – players who have helped define an extraordinary generation.

The team are due to arrive at Colbert Station at around 5.30pm before making their way to a civic reception.

Then they’ll take to the stage to greet the sea of green waiting to welcome them home.

The sun is shining, the atmosphere is electric, and the stage is set as Limerick celebrates its 2026 All-Ireland hurling champions.
