Kerry captain Paul Geaney has been named on the bench for Sunday’s All-Ireland final against Mayo, along with goalkeeper Shane Ryan.
Geaney, who won the All-Ireland club title with Dingle in January, was named to start against Dublin, but dropped out of the 26 altogether.
He was an unused substitute in last year’s final against Donegal, but scored a crucial goal in the 2014 decider against Jim McGuinness’ men.
Kerry are unchanged in terms of the starting 15 that took to the field in their semi-final win, with Jack O’Connor naming defenders Tom O’Sullivan, Brían Ó Beaglaoich and Evan Looney on the bench, with speculation previously that any of the three could start.
Keith Evans is in line for a first appearance in an All-Ireland final from the bench, as are Armin Heinrich and U20 All-Ireland winner Tomás Kennedy, who were unused subs in 2025.
