Food enthusiasts in Galway are in for a treat with a brand-new all-day dining concept promising delicious comfort food, opening soon.
Sidekick will soon open in The Dean Galway, and its Dublin equivalent is centred on wing-led comfort food, sharing plates and standout cocktails.
It’ll be a versatile destination running from lunch through late-night dining; the new concept combines bold flavours, an inventive cocktail menu, and an energetic, music-led atmosphere.

American BBQ tradition dominates the Sidekick concept but with a modern twist.
Top of the tree/menu is the signature chicken wings tossed in a choice of Buffalo, Spicy BBQ, or Gochujang glazes.
If wings aren’t to your fancy, there are plenty of other options available.
Why not try the Double Down Smash Burger (loaded with cheddar, pickles, and burger relish) or the Sidechick Burger (crispy breaded chicken served on a pretzel bun with chipotle ranch slaw and yuzu pickles).
If you’re with a group, maybe the Sharing Meat Platters, packed with ribs, brisket, crispy chicken, and traditional sides, is the best option.
Steak lovers can opt for a 10oz striploin, while seafood fans are catered to with crispy fried haddock. Lighter options include a classic Cobb salad and a superfood salad.
After all that, tucking into a sweet treat is the perfect way to finish the meal.
Highlights include a chocolate and hazelnut brownie, strawberry cheesecake, and a pecan and honeycomb sundae.
Sidekick is designed as a social hub centred around great music and community atmosphere. Launch festivities across both locations will feature live DJ sets, interactive launch moments, and special giveaways.
A year-round calendar of limited-edition menu specials, events and partnerships will give guests plenty of reasons to come back.
Sidekick opens on 31st July at The Dean Docklands and The Dean Galway.
