This year’s All-Ireland final has a subplot for fans to follow as two players vie for the title of this championship season’s top scorer.

Kerry’s David Clifford and Ryan O’Donoghue of Mayo have been in fine form all year, with the two racing ahead in the scoring charts.

The Kingdom take on the Westerners at Croke Park for the Sam Maguire on Sunday, July 26.

Clifford leads the way currently with 6-44, adding up to 62 points, with Ryan O’Donoghue close behind on 2-51 (57 points).

These two players make up for the last two top scorers in the Championship; Clifford topped the charts last year, registering 8–62 (86 points), and O’Donoghue secured top spot in 2024 with 3–48 (57 points).

Cork forward Stephen Sherlock is in third place with 0-43, followed by Dublin pair Cormac Costello (0-41) and Con O’Callaghan (4-27).

The highest-scoring Ulster player is Armagh’s Conor Turbitt, who put up 3-26 (35).
