Mary died peacefully surrounded by her loving family at UHL on Saturday, 25th of July 2026.
Predeceased by her partner Des.
Sadly missed by her dearest sister Fanny and brother-in-law Tom Hanley, nieces Sinead (Vaughan), Clodagh (Hanley) and Aoife (Hayes), nephews Alan and Brian Hanley and their partners Pat, Ann-Marie, Michelle and Joe, grand-nieces and nephews and great-grand-niece, great-grand-nephew, extended family and many friends including the Reid family.

Reposing at St. Catherine’s Nursing Home, Newcastle West (V42 PR80) on Tuesday, July 28th from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
Arriving at The Church Of The Immaculate Conception, Newcastle West on Wednesday morning for requiem mass at 11:30 am followed by cremation in Shannon Crematorium at 3:00 pm.
The family would like to thank the staff of St. Catherine’s Nursing Home for the many years of care provided to Mary and the staff of ward 12B in UHL.
