The family of young Buncrana man Aaron Friel have thanked family and friends for their “countless acts of compassion” following his recent tragic death.
Aaron died following a recent two car collision at Kinnego Cross, Ballymagan on July 4th last.
Three other young people suffered non life-threatening injuries in the incident.
Aaron, late of Lisnakelly, Buncrana, was just 21 when he died in the tragedy.
He is survived by his parents, Breda and Emmet, brothers Shane, Oisín, Darragh and Ruairí, grandparents Hugh and Ann, and Liam and Mary, and a large circle of relatives and friends.
Hundreds of people attended Aaron’s wake and funeral such was his popularity amongst young and old alike.
His family have today issued his acknowledgement thanking all those who helped them in any way to cope with Aaron’s tragic loss.
His acknowledgement state “The family of Aaron Friel would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all our family, friends, neighbours, and everyone who has supported us with your kindness, prayers, messages, visits, food, and countless acts of compassion during this incredibly difficult time.

Aaron Friel’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated this Friday, 31st July at 7.00 p.m. in St. Mary’s Chapel, Cockhill, Buncrana.
