A post-mortem examination is to be carried out on the body of a man who died in a workplace accident in Boyle.
Gardaí and emergency services responded to the accident at a construction site in the north Roscommon town shortly after 9am.
A man his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has since been removed to the mortuary at Roscommon University Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
The local Coroner has been notified.
The Health and Safety Authority has been notified.
