The Health and Safety Authority has confirmed that a man in his forties died in a workplace accident in Boyle.
His body was found in the Assylinn area of the town yesterday morning.
It’s understood that he had been renovating a house when the tragedy occurred.
Fire Brigade and HSE ambulance personnel along with Gardai attended the scene with a local road closed for a period of time.
The HSA has said a full investigation will now take place into the man’s death.
In a statement to Midwest Radio News, the HSE said; “The Health and Safety Authority is aware of the fatal incident and has launched an investigation.
“As such, no further information is available.”
