Waterford great Ken McGrath has joined Stephen Molumphy’s Déise backroom team for the 2027 season.
McGrath has served as Waterford Under-20 manager in the last couple of seasons and was previously senior selector during Michael Ryan’s managerial reign in 2012 and 2013.
The Mount Sion player won four Munster SHC titles during a celebrated career between 1996 and 2011, picking up three All-Stars in the process.
Shane Briggs has also joined Molumphy’s backroom team, having spent last season with Carlow, while Nigel Skehan is retained from Peter Queally’s management team.
Molumphy, a two-time Munster SHC winner with Waterford as a player, was installed as manager last week on a three-year term.
He previously spent three seasons as manager of Kerry, where he guided them to the Joe McDonagh Cup final in 2022 in which they lost narrowly to Antrim.
