Engin Box is an interesting resource, and it’s being touted as a global platform for cinema and photo engineers that was built by ex‑engineers from ARRI, Zeiss, Cooke, RED, and Leica.

The platform offers the following:

Rare Service Manuals with FilterAI Repair AssistantWeekly Repair Video GuidesExpert CommunityParts CatalogDIY ProjectsAcademy

The team behind Engin Box has spent more than 20 years repairing cinema lenses and cameras for rental houses, broadcasters, and filmmakers. They have spent countless hours searching for rare service manuals, reverse engineering parts, building their own tools, and solving problems without documentation. What they found is that valuable knowledge was scattered across hard drives, forums, and private chats. This led to the establishment of Engin Box, so all of this critical information and help could be found in one central place.

Engin Box features an AI Engineering Assistant that helps you scan a database for information relating to any inquiry you may have.

For instance, if you were an engineer in a rental house and you had an issue with an ARRI ALEXA 35 that won’t power on and there was no response from the main board, you can enter these details into Engin Box, and it will search the database (based on real-world cases) and give you possible solutions and fixes.

Engin Box is claimed to have more than 30,000 manuals, guides, and resources available.
