Midwest Radio closes in on 70 million social media views in record-breaking month.
The radio station has recorded the biggest month in its digital history, generating 67.5 million views across Facebook, Instagram and TikTok during July.
The record-breaking figures were driven by the station’s comprehensive coverage of Mayo’s historic All-Ireland Senior Football Championship victory, the county’s unforgettable homecoming celebrations, as well as daily news, sport, entertainment and community stories from across the West of Ireland.
The station enjoyed exceptional growth across all of its major social media platforms.
Across Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, Midwest Radio recorded:
67.5 million views
38,000 new followers across Facebook and Instagram
More than 1.65 million content interactions across Facebook and Instagram
52,000 shares on TikTok
41,700 website link clicks from Facebook
Over 4000 days of watch time on Facebook alone – the equivalent of almost 12 years of continuous viewing.
The station’s content reached audiences far beyond its traditional broadcast area, with strong engagement from Ireland, the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia and Irish communities around the world.
Facebook generated 36.8 million views, Instagram contributed 22.2 million, while TikTok recorded 8.5 million views, highlighting the growing demand for Midwest Radio’s digital content across multiple platforms.
James King, Digital Content Manager at Midwest Radio says that during July, Midwest Radio content averaged 2.4 million views every day, 100,000 views every hour, or almost 28 views every second.
The station now has more than 200,000 Facebook followers and almost 50,000 Instagram followers, making it one of Ireland’s most-followed regional radio broadcasters on social media.
