A man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident in Ballinasloe, Co Galway, on bank holiday Monday.
The incident happened at around 3.15am in Dunlo.
Another man in his 20s was treated for non-life-threatening injuries following the shooting at University Hospital Galway.
The arrested man is being detained at a garda station in the northwest.
Gardaí are asking anyone who was in the Cúlán Eiscir Riada area between 2.30am and 4am and who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, to contact them.
