Gardaí seized 166 e-bikes and e-scooters, seven e-dirt bikes and four scramblers yesterday during an operation targeting the use of electric vehicles for criminal activity.
They also seized three quads during a a high-impact day of action under Operation Meacán in the Dublin.
A sawn-off shotgun along with ammunition, around €158,000 worth of suspected drugs (pending analysis) and €25,820 in cash were also seized.

Gardaí carried out 96 searches yesterday and five people were arrested.
Four have been charged and will appear before court on a future date. A male arrested on foot of a bench warrant has already appeared before court.
With new regulations due to come into effect later this month, gardaí said they are working with community groups to help riders ensure their vehicles are road legal and that they understand the new rules.
Superintendent Liam Geraghty previously said that enforcement patrols are not about “trying to demonise people who want to use them officially”.
