Ballincollig and Cork footballer Joe Miskella has been named the 2026 Electric Ireland minor footballer of the year.
Behind by 0-7 to 1-13 with 39 minutes on the clock, Cork fought back, scoring an unanswered 1-5 with thanks in no small way to an Eoghan Ahern goal, but Miskella’s impact was colossal in resurrecting the Rebel challenge.
Ricken’s Cork side dominate the team of the year with seven inclusions, closely followed by fellow finalists Tyrone with six. The remaining two spots on this year’s squad go to semi-finalists Kildare.
