An Irish man is understood to have died in Phuket, Thailand.
The man’s body was found in water this morning, according to Thai media reports.
In a statement, the Department of Foreign Affairs said it was providing consular assistance.
A spokesperson said: “The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade is aware of the case and is providing consular assistance.
“As with all consular cases, the department does not comment on the details of individual cases.”
