A man who was arrested in relation to a shooting incident in Co Galway on Monday has been released without charge.
The man in his 20s was arrested in connection with the shooting incident which happened at around 3.15am in Dunlo, Ballinasloe, on bank holiday Monday.
Another man in his 20s was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at University Hospital Galway following the shooting.
The arrested man was detained at a garda station in the northwest.
In a statement released this morning, An Garda Síochána said the man has been released without charge and that a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The statement added that investigations are ongoing.
