Following on from his best-selling collection of ghost stories called Haunted Ireland, Kieran Fanning will release Enchanted Ireland – an Atlas of Magical Stories from Every County, featuring a tale from every county in Ireland.

For Wexford, Kiernan has focused on a retelling of two versions of a story which were collected by folklorist, Patrick Kennedy. Kieran combined elements of ‘Adventures of Gilla na Chreck an Gour,’ which was published in Kennedy’s book Legendary Fictions of the Irish Celts in 1867, and ‘The Fellow in the Goat-skin’, which was published in The Fireside Stories of Ireland in 1870, to create his own version.
