Sligo’s Lissadell Céilí Band have been crowned the Fleadhs All Ireland Senior Céilí Band Champions for 2026.
The festival closed last night after eight days with the final performance coming from Lissadell Céilí Band.
The Lisadell Ceili Band are based out of the Paddy Killoran centre in Ballymote.
The band consists of Ava Glancy, Daniel Boland and Roisín McNulty playing the fiddle; Shauna Cullen and Séamus Tierney playing the flute; Timmy Flaherty playing the banjo; Aileen Bourke playing the concertina; Aaron Glancy playing the accordion; Amy Cullen on the drums; and Sinéad Halton playing the piano.
The festival closed last night after eight days with the final performance coming from the group on the Gig Rig at Belfast City Hall.
It’s thought over one million people filled the streets of Belfast across the week, which would make it the largest Fleadh ever.
