Thousands of people have packed Cork’s Grand Parade to welcome home the newly-crowned All-Ireland Senior Camogie champions.
A second-half surge saw the Rebels dethrone Galway by 2-14 to 0-19 at Croke Park yesterday.
Players and management were met this evening with the iconic ‘Rebel roar’ as they took to the stage with the O’Duffy Cup this evening.
They arrived at the Grand Parade onboard an open-top bus after taking the train back to Leeside.
The team earlier paid a visit to Mallow before then travelling on to Kent Station.
The Taoiseach Micheál Martin is in attendance at the homecoming celebrations
Taoiseach Micheál Martin, the Lord Mayor of Cork, Councillor Damian Boylan and the Mayor of the County of Cork, Councillor Bernard Moynihan are all in attendance for the homecoming this evening.
The celebrations kicked off earlier this evening with Ken Perrott of Cork’s 96FM and C103 providing the entertainment.
Finbarr McCarthy, acting as master of ceremonies, welcomed the players and management team to the stage as the cheers rang out.
The O’Duffy Cup will be brought to the club of Cork captain, Meabh Cahalane, St Finbarr’s in Togher later this evening.
