There was no time to rest for the All-Ireland camogie champions Cork, as they had a busy schedule ahead of them on Monday.
The day before, the Rebels beat Galway 2-14 to 0-19 in a nail-biting final in Croke Park, adding another All-Ireland title to their record.
After an evening of celebrating, the girls were up early to head in to share their joy with some of the children at CHI Temple Street.
The players took time out to meet children and families on the wards, posing for photographs and, most importantly, bringing plenty of smiles to the hospital.
And, of course, they didn’t arrive empty-handed.
The O’Duffy Cup was proudly brought along for the visit, giving the young patients the chance to get up close to one of the most famous trophies in Irish sport.
For the Cork players, it was a chance to share a little of their success with children who may not have been able to experience the celebrations outside the hospital.
And judging by the smiles all round, the O’Duffy Cup certainly made an impression.
