A solar eclipse will be visible from Ireland tomorrow evening in what is being described as the best opportunity to see an eclipse of this scale until 2090.
A solar eclipse is when the Moon moves between the Sun and the Earth, blocking its light.
It is expected that the west and south of the country will see up to 98% coverage of the Sun, while in the east and north, it will be around 94%.
With the public urged not to look directly at the Sun during the eclipse for safety reasons, we asked Sadhbh Leahy from the Dublin Institute of Advanced Studies at Dunsink Observatory how to safely experience the eclipse.
