Nicole has been leaning on her longtime friend, Naomi Watts, for support during her divorce.
Nicole Kidman is reportedly in the phase of her breakup where she’s turning to her best girlfriends for support. On September 30, the Babygirl actor filed for divorce from her husband, Keith Urban, one day after reports about their split started surfacing in TMZ and People. The separation was reportedly one-sided, as a source told E! News, “Nicole did not want to part ways with Keith and has been trying to save the marriage since they opted to live apart in the beginning of the summer.”
Now, another insider reveals that Naomi Watts has shown up for Nicole amid her public divorce. “Nic has been calling Naomi a ton to talk out how she needs to cope with the situation,” the source told the Daily Mail. “There has been a lot of advice flowing and Nic listens because Naomi has been through it herself; she had a very public split from Heath Ledger, then Liev Schreiber, so she knows how challenging heartbreak in the spotlight can be.”

The Emmanuelle actor has also offered up some “clever advice” to her longtime friend, which has been “to be as honest as can be with the public and just get it out there and over with so fans can process and move on.”
This isn’t the first time Naomi has held Nicole’s hand through a tough breakup—she was also by her side when she filed for divorce from her ex, Tom Cruise, in 2001. She even accompanied Nicole to the premiere of The Others the day before Nicole and Tom’s divorce was finalized.
Per People, Nicole has received comfort from her younger sister, Antonia, as well. A source told the outlet that “Nicole’s sister has been a rock and the entire Kidman family has come together to support one another.”

Her separation from the country crooner comes after 19 years of marriage, and sources have revealed that the divorce is “turning dramatic” as Nicole is “hurt and feels betrayed.”
“Keith has not been honest,” the source told People. “She wanted to save their marriage and believed that she could, but it seems he’s already moved on. It’s devastating to her. She’s shocked.”
