EastEnders has aired a wedding twist for Kim Fox as she’s decided to go back to her original wedding date after an emotional chat with her sister Denise, who’s currently receiving treatment for blood cancer.
In tonight’s scenes, Denise suffered a health scare, leaving Kim and Jack Branning extremely worried. When Denise came to, Kim announced her decision to postpone the wedding, swapping dates with Cindy Beale and Max Branning.

“Howie and I, we’ve been talking and we’re gonna hold off on the wedding. You know, give you some time to get back on top,” Kim told her sister, who wasn’t happy about being the reason the nuptials were postponed.
“It’s just till the new year,” Kim reassured her but Denise insisted she didn’t have long left and wanted to be there for her sister’s second wedding.
“Make the most of me fussing while…” Denise began, but her voice quavered.
Realising Denise could not be around for long, Kim considered going back to get married in September.
“If we go back to the original date, you have got to promise me that you will not give up after the wedding,” she told Denise, adding: “I’m going to tell that cancer to get Foxed.”

“I’m not sure I can make that,” Denise said as Kim and Jack exchanged sad looks.
Kim left the hospital before she could break down in tears, heading to the Prince Albert to talk to Cindy.
“Howie and I, we’ve decided to keep the date,” she said, explaining that they’d need to find a local venue to make it easier for Denise.
While she feigned support for Kim, Cindy was less than impressed about not being the only bride on her designated day. Will she change the date again?

The New Year’s Day flashforward scenes point to Cindy and Max changing the date again, returning to their original plan of getting married on New Year’s Day.
It wouldn’t be a Walford wedding if there wasn’t a layer of drama, of course. On Max’s big day in January, he can be seen waking up to a woman who’s not his bride, with all clues suggesting that Priya Nandra-Hart might still be in the picture.
EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
