Motherwell manager Alfred Johansson tells BBC Scotland: “A strong performance for a club like Motherwell to now be in the play-offs.
“Massive, massive credit to the players, they put everything out there. We can’t be anything other than pleased with that.
“Ibrahim [Said] has been so good for us so far this season in all the games he’s been involved in, except against Falkirk when he maybe didn’t manage to show his offensive skills, but tonight he was brilliant.
“I would also like to mention Alex Lowry’s second half was also very strong, but you could mention so many guys.
“We were brave and looked better on the ball than we did on Sunday, that was most pleasing. The effort is always there so it’s about maintaining the bravery and playing the way we want on the ball and tonight we did it.
“Tonight I’m going to go home and feed my baby so my wife can sleep. We’ll come back in tomorrow and recover, then we look forward to the next task which is Sunday.
“It is [a brilliant tie against Freiburg] but we want to do well in the League Cup and we have a massive game on Sunday. It’s a massive, massive game, it’s a final for us on Sunday and we’re going to put all of our focus on that then we can move on to next week.”
