Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a report of a firearm being discharged on Childers Road in Limerick.
Gardaí received a report of the incident at around 3pm this afternoon.
No injuries have been reported and no arrests have been made.
Anyone who was in the Childers Road area between 2.30pm and 3.30pm and may have witnessed the incident is being asked to contact gardaí.
Gardaí are also appealing for anyone with information that could assist the investigation to come forward.
