Kerry County Council will hold the first of a nationwide series of Presidential candidate consultation meetings as the local authority route for securing a nomination narrows amid manoeuvring by the major political parties.

The council will hold a special meeting in Tralee tomorrow with at least 17 candidates set to address the Kerry authority on why they deserve a nomination to contest the Áras an Úachtaráin election on October 24.
