A motorcyclist in his 30s has died in a collision involving a car on the N71 at Caha Pass, Co Cork this afternoon.
The collision happened at 2.55pm and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
The road was closed for a technical examination but has since reopened.
The man’s body was removed to Cork University Hospital where a post-mortem examination is due to take place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone travelling on the N71 between Glengarriff and Kenmare between 2.15pm and 2.45pm who may have witnessed the incident to contact them.
