Ballinasloe has been named Ireland’s most jewellery obsessed town.
A five year analysis of Google trends data was analysed by Ciaran O’ Flynn Jewellers, based in Thurles and Dungarven.
Ballinasloe topped the list, followed by Rush and Malahide in Dublin, Derrinturn in Kildare, and Ratoath in Meath. The results are described as surprising, but proof that passion for beautiful jewellery isn’t confined to the big cities.
When broken down by county though, Galway is nowhere to be seen – with Kildare, Dublin, Meath, Cork and Wicklow in the top 5.
