Sligo University Hospital was the second most overcrowded in Ireland today according to the latest trolley watch report.
There were 40 people awaiting admission there this morning.
It is surpassed only by Limerick University Hospital which had 62 people waiting there.
Nationally, there were 462 people awaiting admission at hospitals across the country today.
