Dolly Parton has been remembered at Electric Picnic as an “inspiration as a person and a musician”.
In the Trailer Park section of the arena, a trailer ‘Dolly The Disco Den’ – which has been at the festival for a number of years and was named after Ms Parton – put on a special performance of her songs to pay tribute to the late star.
Amy La Grue dressed up as Ms Parton for the performance and said she wanted to pay tribute to her “in a way we thought she would like”.
“Dolly was such a kind, outspoken, intelligent person,” she told RTÉ News.
