Sophie O’Sullivan lowered her 800m personal best with blistering run at the World Athletics Continental Tour in Brescia, Italy.
The 24-year-old finished second in her race in 1:58.60, taking almost a second off the time she posted earlier this month.
The time puts her second on the all-time Irish list, with Ciara Mageean’s time of 1:58.51 from 2024 leading the way.
Rhasidat Adeleke finished sixth in her 200m race where Nigeria’s Favour Ofili was the dominant performer.
The 24-year-old posted a time of 22.03, though as things stand, it won’t be enough for Adeleke to make the cut for next month’s Ultimate Championships in Budapest, the inaugural biennial invitational organised by World Athletics where the world’s top athletes will compete for a prize pot of $10m (€8.67m).
Elsewhere European 1500m bonze medallist Andrew Coscoran marked his return to action following his heroics in Birmingham earlier this month with a seventh-place finish in Berlin.
The Dubliner posted a time of 3:34.37 in a high quality field, with Australian Cameron Myers first across the line in 3:30.96.
Coscoran’s time was nearly two seconds quicker than what he clocked at the European Championships a fortnight ago.
