Coronation Street spoilers follow from Thursday’s episode (3 September), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn’t yet aired on ITV1.
In tonight’s Coronation Street, Bethany endures another disastrous date with Roman – and scheming Jodie is partly to blame after stirring up trouble!
Meanwhile, Debbie is left devastated after one of her biggest memory lapses yet, and Shona seems to be struggling without David around.

1. Bethany is drawn into Debbie’s troubles

Debbie pops into the salon for a quick cut, but soon gets confused and wrongly believes that she’s the stylist rather than the customer. Once Bethany has finished giving Ryan a manicure, Debbie summons her into the chair and works on an ’80s-style makeover while Bethany plays along.
The situation goes too far when Debbie picks up a pair of scissors and prepares to cut Bethany’s hair, which forces Maria to intervene.
2. Debbie’s emotions overwhelm her

Once Debbie realises what’s happened, she’s mortified and insists that familiar surroundings will help. She heads back to the Chariot Square Hotel, even though she’s supposed to be enjoying a day off.
Ronnie is drinking with friends and family at the hotel bar and watches with concern as Debbie becomes increasingly agitated…
3. Bethany’s latest date goes wrong

After the day’s problems, Bethany visits the Bistro for a second attempt at a date with Roman, who’s given her another chance after the chaos they faced last time they met up.
Things start off well, but Bethany is riled when Jodie waltzes in for a date with Kit. Jodie knows exactly what she’s doing as she hopes for a reaction from a disapproving Bethany. She gets what she wants as tensions explode, with a horrified Roman watching on! Has Bethany’s potential new romance been ruined?
4. Kit faces a decision

Jodie is prepared to spend the night with Kit after their eventful date, but he clearly has a big choice to make following some tough words from Bethany.
Will Kit take heed of Bethany’s warnings and cut Jodie loose? Or is he on such a self-destructive path that he’ll go for it?
5. Shona finds life tough without David
ITV
Shona continues to hold the fort at home, as David is away visiting Gail.
She panics when baby Harper has a rash, but there turns out to be an innocent explanation. Will Jodie support her sister or make matters worse?
