A major Inishowen road is to be closed for five days later this month to allow for works.
A section of the busy route from the Slab Road (R239-1) to the 19th Hole in Bridgend will be closed from 28th September to 2nd October.
The road is the main connecting route from Inishowen to Derry and vice versa.
Traffic travelling from Inishowen towards Bridgend or Derry will be required to divert via the Slab Road, before turning left to the Bridgend roundabout.
Traffic travelling north from Bridgend to Derry into Inishowen will be required to travel on to the national primary road – Derry to Letterkenny – before turning right on to the Slab Road.
Motorists will then turn left to join the Derry to Buncrana road, into Inishowen.
The road will be closed to facilitate resurfacing works.
