Butlers Chocolate has confirmed the closure of the café in their main headquarters at the end of the week.
The Irish coffee and luxury chocolate chain has become beloved across Ireland and further afield.
The very first Butlers Chocolate Café opened on Wicklow Street in Dublin city centre in 1998.

Before the first café, Marion Butler founded the company in 1932. The company operated from Dublin’s Lad Lane and operated strictly as a chocolate manufacturer for decades before expanding to high-end coffee.
Today, there are 30 cafés across Ireland, with the brand expanding globally, with locations across the UK, South Asia and the Middle East.
On Thursday, bosses at Butlers Chocolate confirmed the closure of their Clonshaugh location as of Friday, September 11, but it’s only temporary!

A statement from the brand detailed that the temporary closure was due to renovations, and the Butlers Chocolate Café trailer would be outside Butlers Chocolate HQ as an alternative.
The company said: ‘Our store in Clonshaugh will close on the evening of Friday, September 11th, for refurbishment. A fabulous new café will be coming later this year.
‘During this time, the Butlers Chocolate Café trailer will be open outside the Home of Butlers Chocolates. The trailer will open on Saturday, September 12th, at 9am.’
The statement urged fans to keep an eye on their social media pages for updates on the new Clonshaugh café.
The company captioned the post: ‘We’re closing… but not for long. Our Clonshaugh café will be closing on the evening of Friday, September 11th for a makeover.
‘In the meantime, we will be fuelling you as usual from our trailer café just outside the home of Butlers Chocolates.
‘A fabulous renovated café will be reopening later this year.’
