The Blockheads have all realised how important the competition is getting and finding those little details to set your house apart from the others matters more now than ever.
Despite having some serious budget constraints this week, Courtney and Sev scored a win for House 4 and it was clear from the moment the judges walked in that one detail elevated their space to a new level.
There was one detail in Courtney and Sev’s Guest Suite which set them apart from the other teams and ultimately scored them the win. Nine
The girls moved the entryway for the bedroom during Guest Suite Week, which gave them the ability to add a wall of wardrobes and the addition of a kitchenette – a move that could add thousands to the value of their home come auction day.
“I think we’re most proud of getting the kitchenette in there, that is the differentiating detail we have against everyone else,” Sev said ahead of judging.
Well, it really did set them apart and it was the biggest standout for all three judges as they walked in.
“TV, sink, coffee machine – perfect,” noted real estate expert Marty Fox.
Darren Palmer opened the cupboard underneath to reveal more amenities.
“And a fridge, and a toaster,” he pointed out.
Shaynna Blaze had nothing more to add than, “Oh, wow.”
For Darren, every inclusion and amenity the girls used is just useful and did nothing but add value to the room.
The judges all loved the layout and said it was “genius” to move the door, which in turn created the space for the bank of wardrobes.

Adding to the space, a note from Courtney and Sev further explained how the space will function once the other areas are finished.
The bedroom opens up into a private courtyard, which they added will have cooking facilities, and Marty noted that because you can lock the door it really does give it the feeling of a self-contained apartment.
“This is a true second main suite,” Scott Cam said of the feedback.
All three agreed that it would be the perfect space for an au pair or an adult child, due to the amenity, space and overall feel and function.
Marty Fox went as far as to say that he enjoyed this space more than their Master Suite from Week 3. Nine
Marty even said that he preferred the space over the Main Bedroom from Week 3, and noted it felt like a hotel suite.
From the bedhead to the styling and choices inside the bedroom, the judges were wowed and that continued into the bathroom where there was nothing but praise for the spaces this week.
