North Carolina native trades traditional studio art for high-energy live speed painting

Laura Ashley is taking her passion of live art painting and performing in front of audiences across the southeast.
She is from Asheboro, North Carolina and is a former high school art teacher and also ran a paint and sip studio.
Ashley started painting at weddings and special events like graduation ceremonies, birthdays, baby showers, corporate events, athletic games, and more.

Ashley has also raised thousands of dollars for non-profits close to her heart through her artwork.
She came by the WXII 12 News studio to paint live for Audrey Biesk and unveiled a special surprise.
