A distraught Rafferty arrives at Ger’s door in Friday’s Fair City on RTÉ One and the RTÉ Player.
“Scout’s gone!” says Rafferty. “He’s not in his cot.”
“Where is he, then?” asks Ger.
“I don’t know,” replies Rafferty. “I’m going to call the Guards!”
“Wait!” says Ger.
What Rafferty doesn’t know is that his grandson’s kidnap has been staged by the child’s own parents, Hayley and James, as part of a scam to get money to pay back Ger – and Ger knows exactly what is going on.
