Safe Ireland Cavan/Monaghan offered support to 297 women and three men during 2025.
The age of those who availed of the service in 2025 ranged from 15 to 82 and during 2025 Safe Ireland also provided a total of 2,300 interventions.
Over 81% of the victims that Safe Ireland Cavan/Monaghan supported have been between the ages of 26 and 55, with the largest cohort of over 20% aged between the ages of 41 and 45.

Christine also revealed stark figures outlining that approximately 1 in 3 women aged 15 and older have been subjected to physical or sexual violence
in their lifetime, mostly by an intimate partner.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Christine believes a whole of society and a whole Government response is needed with collective responsibility.
