Three titles from Kerry authors and illustrators feature on ‘The Best Irish Books of 2026’ list.
The list complied by Children’s Books Ireland aims to showcase the best publications across fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels and verse.
The Kerry inclusions are ‘Lulu’s Perfect Hideout’ by Anna McQuinn, ‘The Song of The Sun’ by Olivia Hope and ‘Then We’ll Be Happy’ by Alan Carrigan.
CEO Elaina Ryan says it’s important that children in Kerry can access stories that reflect their own lived experience, and the rich culture and diversity of life in Ireland.
