Zack Snyder didn’t let Batman Day go by without his Batman.
The director posted Ben Affleck’s Dark Knight from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice on Instagram Saturday, set to Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL’s “Beautiful Lie” — the track that opens the movie and currently a trending audio on Instagram with thousands of reels using it.
It comes on a Batman Day that also put Batman on top of the Sydney Opera House.
The post quickly racked up nearly 10,000 likes, hundreds of comments, and over 600 reposts.

‘Bring Back Batfleck’
The comments went exactly where you’d expect.
“BRING HIM BACK!!!!” reads one of the top replies. “Justice League 2 and 3. Get on it Zack!!!” says another, one of the most-liked comments on the post.
More fans chimed in with “Best Batman ever, nothing compares!” and “Was looking forward to this! The greatest Batman!” while another wrote, “People say he was dark. I say he wasn’t dark enough.”
“@zacksnyder is inevitable,” adds another, with the hashtags #RestoreTheSnyderVerse and #MakeTheBatfleckMovie filling out the rest.

In August, those insiders said Snyder’s The Dark Knight Returns is ready to go and already storyboarded.
In September, they added Snyder is “well prepared for a Dark Knight film,” with the SnyderVerse returning side by side with Matt Reeves’ Batman universe — and Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill part of the plan. The receipts go back months.
Gal Gadot is already on record: “If Zack comes back to run DC, I’ll come back.”
And Snyder himself just called The Dark Knight Returns “a holy grail” this week.
The Merger Could Be Settled This Weekend
The one thing standing in the way is the lawsuit.
California and 11 other states sued in July to block the $111 billion Paramount-Warner Bros. merger, arguing the combined studio would be too big.
Reuters reported Friday the two sides could settle as soon as this weekend, with terms on the table including independent monitoring of CNN and a commitment on how many movies the studio puts in theaters each year.
There’s a reason to move fast: if the deal isn’t closed by September 30, Paramount owes Warner Bros. shareholders $7 million a day until it is.
Paramount has already told the court the merger is ready to close the moment the lawsuit is out of the way, and our sources have said all along nothing gets announced until the deal is done.
Settle it this weekend, and Batfleck on Batman Day starts looking less like nostalgia and more like a preview.
