A person has been killed in a crash between a car and a bus in Co Waterford, bringing the number killed on Ireland’s roads to four in less than 24 hours.
A motorcyclist in his 50s also died in a crash in Wexford, a man in his 20s was killed in a car crash in Limerick and another man aged in his 50s died in a car crash in Meath on a deadly day on Irish roads.
In Waterford on Sunday evening, one person was confirmed dead after a crash between a car and a bus on the N25 near Kinsalebeg, close to Pilltown and between Youghal and Ardmore.
A number of people are also understood to have suffered some injuries in the crash but none of those injuries are believed to be life-threatening.
The deceased was travelling in the car which was in a collision with the bus.
Gardaí and emergency services were at the scene on Sunday night.
The road is currently closed with local diversions in place.
In neighbouring Co Wexford, emergency services were called to a crash between a motorcycle and a van on the R736 near Wellington Bridge shortly before 3.15pm on Sunday.
The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the van did not require immediate hospital treatment.
The road remained closed on Sunday evening to facilitate a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are currently in place. The Coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will be arranged.

In Limerick, a man aged in his 20s died, and two more people were injured when their car struck a tree. The single-vehicle crash occurred on the N21 at Cummeen, Adare, at approximately 2.40am on Sunday.
Gardaí said the driver, a man aged in his 20s, was fatally injured. His body has since been removed from the scene to the mortuary at University Hospital Limerick, where an autopsy will take place in due course.
Two other passengers, a man aged in his 20s and an adult male teenager, were removed from the scene to University Hospital Limerick.
The passenger aged in his 20s remains in a critical condition. The second passenger received non-life-threatening injuries.
The road was closed on Sunday for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators with local diversions in place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to come forward.
Road users who were travelling on the N21 at Cummeen, Adare, Limerick between 2.15am and 2.45am on Sunday and who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make it available to investigating gardaí.

Meanwhile, in Meath, a man aged in his 50s died after his car struck a premises at around 2am on Sunday. The man was the sole occupant of the car in the single-vehicle incident.
His body has since been removed from the scene to the mortuary at Our Lady’s Hospital, Navan, where an autopsy will take place in due course.
The road is currently closed for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
